Legal Administrator/Paralegal Position Available

Bakerlaw is a small law firm specializing in human rights, disability, health, education and Charter issues. Our clients are typically individuals rather than institutions, and we seek out challenging cases.

In your role of Legal Administrator /Paralegal you will have numerous responsibilities including:

  • Conducting client intakes
  • Drafting legal documents and forms
  • Document production for service and filing
  • Maintaining electronic and paper client files
  • Preparing and sending client invoices
  • Processing accounts payable

A significant portion of the position relates to client intake. You will be the first point of contact for people looking to retain bakerlaw and be responsible for an initial discussion to gather the facts of the case in order to assess its merits.

While having experience and or education as paralegal or legal assistant would be an asset, we are open to training the appropriate individual who has a university degree and an interest in the legal profession.

Salary will be dependent upon experience and training. All bakerlaw employees receive benefits after an initial 3 month probationary period.
